Got a call from my local shop this morning, my New 52 Harley Quinn finally arrived

. While i was there i bought Poison Ivy & Catwoman to complete the set.

Luckily these particular sculpts have no manufacturing defects & the paints apps are sharp + crisp. From DC Collectibles, Cover Girls statue series.

Its funny, the statues are great but the DC busts arent that great if your a woman. With the exception of Batgirl

Personally, i prefer buying full figure sculptures than busts

A lot of the female heroes. Supergirl, Starfire, and Wonder Woman. They don't look that great. Their faces are weird. They cant get the faces right. Batgirl is the only one that looks decent enough and thats only becaue shes wearing a mask. You can't mess that up. I prefer the statues. The busts are cheap I'll give it that. The guys look great but the women dont

I see what you mean, i don't own any busts although i think the sculpts themselves are dynamic but the paint jobs aren't the best.

In my opinion the best statue series from DC are the Cover Girls line based on Adam Hughes artwork

I agree the Cover Girls line is better but yeah I am looking for reasonable priced ones. I envy you that you got those 3. I want to own the statues but there too much. Besides a lot of my favorites are in bust form with the exception of Catwoman. I did buy a Kotobukiya statue of Helena Bertinelli Huntress that equals the same great workmanship and quality of the DC statues but cheaper

Because of their price i only collect the few characters i love. Also learnt you have to buy these as early as possible since their value increases rapidly (also because they're limited pieces).

I'm a fan of Kotobukiyas work because yes, they're economical, of high quality, & hold up well in transit since they're made of PVC. Unlike DC Collectibles (statues & busts are hard porcelain) they can sometimes break in transit.
